About the event
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) connects 1.3billion people across 55 countries, with an estimated combined GDP of USD3.5trillion, aiming to be the world's largest trade bloc.
The role of the AfCFTA in reviving Africa’s economic growth trajectory, reducing poverty, and job creation are paramount to the successful implementation and operation of this trade bloc. With hurdles like the COVID-19 pandemic, financial sovereign debt crisis, and other challenges, uncertainties loom over the implementation of the AfCFTA and its impact on poorer countries in the region.
It is vital to understand the role of the AfCFTA and how future negotiations can impact private-public discussions for trade and investments.
What is the objective and impact of the AfCFTA for Finnish/Nordic SMEs? Are there any challenges or threats for foreign companies, investors, and stakeholders? How can both the public and private sectors benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area? How will the AfCFTA deepen the economic and political relations between Nordic countries and their trading counterparts in Africa? Can Nordic countries play a key role in advocating the implementation of the AFCFTA?
Join us for this webinar as we shed some light on these thoughts and explore the opportunities for mutual partnerships under the AfCFTA for companies, investors, and stakeholders.
